The Transformational Breath Foundation celebrating 45th anniversary with “Today I Breathe” Movement

The Transformational Breath Foundation will be hosting the “Today I Breathe” movement through the Transformational Breath Online Academy.

Tilton, New Hampshire – September 28, 2021 – The Transformational Breath Foundation is pleased to announce that it’s celebrating its 45th anniversary this year with the upcoming “Today I Breathe” movement. The movement will be conducted by the Transformational Breath Online Academy that the Transformational Breath Foundation launched in 2020. The goal of the movement is to bring together one million people and collectively work as one to build a better world for everyone.

The “Today I Breathe” movement was launched on September 25, 2021, the birth anniversary of Transformational Breath®. The slogan of the movement is “One million people consciously breathing for a better world.”

One of the most renowned schools of integrative breathwork in the world, Transformational Breath®, was created in 1977 by Dr. Judith Kravitz. This breathwork modality is currently offered in 53 countries and 12 languages. Based on the principles of deep diaphragmatic breathing, Transformational Breath® guides the participant on how to effectively use conscious, connected, diaphragmatic breathing to work on physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

The “Today I Breathe” movement is the brainchild of three dynamic women Laura Altamira (Coordinator of Transformational Breath Online Academy), Eugenia Altamira (International Senior Trainer and Curriculum Coordinator for the Transformational Breath Foundation), and Dr. Judith Kravitz (creator of the Transformational Breath® technique, and founder and director of the Transformational Breath Foundation).

“We are excited to share with you all that we are soon to celebrate our 45th anniversary. As part of the celebration, we are launching the ‘Today I Breathe’ movement. For 43-years, we offered Transformational Breath sessions through a hands-on, in-person technique. People could take facilitated sessions with a certified Facilitator or attend a course and learn to practice the technique and self-facilitate. But, over time, we decided to expand our reach to facilitate more people. Thus, we launched the Transformational Breath Online Academy in 2020 to enable interested participants to learn the technique of Transformational Breath without having to attend an in-person training. Starting this weekend, the ‘Today I Breathe’ movement is an extension of such ethos”, stated Dr. Kravitz.

The movement is open for everybody. Participants will be encouraged to Breathe for a cause close to their heart and the global community will support them with the power of their collective intention. You are welcome to sign up for the movement, regardless of your location in the world. Participants signing up for the movement will be asked to commit to a regular breathing practice where they perform a “conscious” breathing routine for 5-10 minutes every day.

As part of the “Today I Breathe” movement, the Transformational Breath Online Academy will be offering free resources to every participant. New guided breathing exercises and tips featuring the participants causes will be offered every week for an entire year. The guided breathing exercises will be available for download on the Transformational Breath Online Academy website. Otherwise, participants can subscribe to receive the resources or/and join the private Facebook group of the organization for support and community interaction.

Additionally, there will also be a live monthly online gathering via Zoom so people can share their experiences and interact in real time with the global community.
